During Justice Jackson’s talk, held inside the Donna E. Shalala Student Center’s third-floor ballroom and moderated by Jackson’s longtime friend, Stephen Rosenthal, a partner at the Miami law firm Podhurst Orseck, Jackson discussed everything from her days as a champion debater at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, to her path to the Supreme Court, to the challenges she endured as a mother during her journey in the legal profession, to her daughter’s autism diagnosis.
